How does our design process work?

Our structural design process begins with a needs analysis at the start of the project.

First, architectural data and site conditions are evaluated, and then the most suitable structural system is proposed. 3D structural analysis models are created, and calculations are performed by applying loads (dead load, live load, wind, earthquake, snow, etc.) to the structure.

Subsequently, the design is detailed in accordance with both international regulations (AISC, Eurocode, TBDY, BS, etc.) and local municipal specifications. Calculation reports, static projects, implementation drawings, and explanation sheets are delivered to the client.

Precise Computing with Advanced Software

We use industry-leading engineering software to guarantee accuracy in our designs.

The main software programs we use are:

  • SAP2000, ETABS, and STAAD Pro: general structural analysis.

  • IDEA StatiCa: Nonlinear analysis of connection details

  • Tekla Structural Designer: integrated analysis and detailing.

  • Robot Structural Analysis: for custom steel designs

    These software programs optimize both rigidity and economic profile selections, resulting in labor and material savings on site.

Selecting the Right System for Every Building

Every building is unique — that's why we don't use a standard structural system approach. Abram Steel develops bespoke structural systems for many building types, from industrial plants to high-rise buildings, from gyms to warehouses.

Depending on the needs, we offer moment-transferring systems, braced systems, hybrid reinforced concrete-steel systems, or all-steel frame systems. All decisions are made to be compatible with the architecture and suitable for production.

This approach enhances both the visual aesthetics and engineering efficiency of the structure.

Seismic Design and Compliance with Earthquake Regulations

Türkiye gibi deprem kuşağında bulunan bölgeler için TBDY 2018 ve Eurocode 8 gibi standartlara uygun sismik tasarımlar büyük önem taşır.

Abram Steel, özellikle deprem etkisi altındaki yapılarda rijitlik, süneklik ve göçme öncesi deformasyon kriterlerine dikkat ederek tasarım yapar. Gerekirse perde sistemleri, yatay rijitleyiciler, takviye çerçeveler gibi sistem çözümleri de entegre edilir.
